When you create a MotorIndex account or submit a contact form, we collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, phone number, dealership name, and any messages or documentation you share with us. When you use our platform, we collect information about your vehicle inventory, customer records, sales transactions, and expense data that you enter into the system.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to provide, maintain, and improve the MotorIndex platform, including processing your vehicle data, generating reports and analytics, and providing customer support. We also use your contact information to communicate with you about your account, respond to inquiries, and send important product updates. We do not sell your data to third parties.
3. Data Security
All data is encrypted at rest using S3-managed encryption and in transit using TLS 1.3. Our infrastructure runs on AWS with strict IAM policies, access controls, and multi-tenancy isolation: your dealership data is completely segregated from other dealerships. We employ industry-standard security practices including regular security audits, penetration testing, and automated threat detection.
4. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your account, you can export all your data within 30 days, after which it will be permanently deleted from our systems. Contact form inquiries are retained for up to 12 months for business communication purposes.
5. Your Rights
